The 2009 Polo Masters Asprey Trophy, with prize money of $100,000 was played for at Hurtwood Park Polo Club between the 1st &#45;17th of May. Now in its second year the prize money was increased from &amp;pound;50,000 to $100,000 due to the huge success of 2008 tournament. This in turn drew some very strong teams amongst which the favourite was the superbly mounted Black Bears. The league matches were all closely fought with the results in some cases surprising and with the favourites being knocked out by the finalists and eventual overall winners, team Polonetworks. The final was played in the pouring rain between Polonetworks and Madams Farm and was a very exciting match that went right down to the wire. Henry Brett scored the winning goal in the dying seconds of the final chukka for the winner takes all tournament. Andrew Murray from Asprey Polo presented the winning team with the beautiful hand crafted Asprey trophy donated by Asprey London.</description>

The Asprey polo team won the prestigious Queen Mother&amp;rsquo;s Centenary Tournament 15 goal trophy at the Guards Polo Club on Sunday the 17th of May 2009. The team consisting of Simon Holley, Chris Hyde, Johnny Good and Sebastian Dawney beat Aravali polo team, which was centred around father and son Howard and Oliver Hipwood by 7 goals to 3, in a very exciting match played in the rain. Both Chris and Johnny played very well with great support from Simon and as ever a very strong back in Sebastian who let nothing past him.&amp;nbsp;The tournament, which was played over two weeks, was very&amp;nbsp;closely fought,&amp;nbsp;with the Asprey team winning all of its league matches to reach the final. This is the second time that the Asprey team has won this tournament since it&amp;nbsp;was founded&amp;nbsp;in 2007.</description>

Asprey sponsored the Prince of Wales Polo Tournament at the Royal Berkshire Polo Club on a beautiful rare sunny day in Windsor. Guests were welcomed to the lunch through the Asprey Polo store and served Pimm&apos;s and strawberries in the garden. Tim Flach, renowned equestiran photographer signed copies of his book Equus. Asprey hosted a table at lunch, guests included Tim Flach. The match was played directly after lunch and Asprey watches were presented by Robert Procop as prizes along with the tournament trophy. Purple Asprey flags and banners surrounded the field.</description>
